Theory clothing is known for minimalist, close-shouldered tailoring — suits and dresses built for real workdays rather than photo shoots. Andrew Rosen and Elie Tahari founded the label in New York City in 1997. The founding idea explains the DNA: Theory built its name on giving a woman's suit the stretch and ease of sportswear, a philosophy that shapes every blazer on the rack. Racks here run tailored suits, blazers, and trousers next to striped A-line and denim shift dresses, plus button-up shirts, a silk necktie or two, and jackets cut with the same close, clean shoulder as the suiting. No guesswork required. Men's and women's stock sit in near-equal supply, so building a matching top-and-blazer look, or a full two-piece suit, is realistic here. Theory's cuts run slim and tailored, closer to a fitted business silhouette than a relaxed one. It would have been easy to let that edge soften into basics; the suiting and both dress silhouettes on this rack say it hasn't.
