Superman is a mythical superhero who appears in DC Comics graphic novels. In 1933, Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, two Cleveland high school students, developed this character. In 1938, they managed to sell Superman to Detective Comics, the precursor to DC Comics. Superman has a distinguishable and recognizable look; he typically wears a blue outfit with a red-and-yellow logo on the chest.
